State certified instructors throughout California are working smarter by sharing the training load. You can simply join class virtually via computer or mobile device to provide presence. Send drivers as needed.

This in-service prepares and reminds activity trip drivers of their key responsibilities, common challenges, and effective communication with passengers. It helps drivers understand different situations and avoid typical mistakes for a safe and successful activity trip.

OBJECTIVES:

To explain the different situations a driver will encounter on a field trip

To help the driver understand the difference in the types of circumstances encountered.

To help drivers avoid common mistakes made on field trips

This in-service training is designed to remind drivers of techniques to use in navigating tight areas; corners, crowded loading zones, and narrow parking lots. Maneuvering a vehicle with a long wheelbase and significant overhang requires a shift in spatial awareness.

OBJECTIVES:

Explain and reminder of turning points

Explain and remind of tail-swing and off tracking 

Review turning zones, turning radius & blind spots

Professional Driving Starts in the Mind

Reminders for professional drivers.

TOTAL TIME:

From 15-minutes to 1-hour depending on topic.

In-service training in provided in compliance with federal and state regulations. All training covers subjects directly related to driving and passenger safety. Based on material from the latest edition of the instructor's Manual and other sources directly related to the topic being presented. Check with your state certified instructor for a login link.

We provide the high-quality instruction and everything else. State instructors provide presence. 

 

Review the classroom rules prior to attending the virtual classroom. Use a computer or mobile device to log into the virtual classroom.

 

Small groups can be set up in an office using a computer with audio/video setup. Larger groups can be set up in a training room. An instructor of the appropriate class may need to be in the physical classroom depending on the size and our ability to monitor. Prior arrangement should be made.
